About the DHMP fitting service

I need a new part for my Mac, but I don't feel confident about fitting it. What can I do?
That's OK, we offer a fitting service for most parts so you don't need to be a Mac expert to get your Mac up and running again.

But you are over there, and we are here, so how does that work?
Our service works on a collect and return basis. When you order your part, if fitting is available you will see two prices, the buy it price and the fitted price. The fitted price includes collection of your Mac, the price of the part, fitting and return delivery back to your home.

So, I don't even need to go to the post office?
No. Our courier service collects from your home or work address and delivers back to you. All you have to do it package your Mac for the outward journey. We do the rest.

So who do you use for this?
We use TNT couriers for collection and delivery. They are an international company with expertise in the transport of IT equipment.

What about damage to my Mac?
Your Mac is fully covered by our couriers normal insurance while in transit.

How long will all this take?
Collection normally takes place the day after you order. We use next day delivery so we'll get your Mac the next day. Normally we jump right onto it and we aim to turn most Macs round inside three days. Delivery back to you is also next day.

Any tips on how to package my Mac?
The best tip we can offer is to use common sense. Computers are reasonably fragile so you will have to pad your computer. We recommend a double layer of bubble wrap inside a stout cardboard box. The box should not allow excessive movement once the Mac and its bubble wrap have been packed. The box should then be sealed with strong parcel tape (or plenty of sellotape if you don't have parcel tape). Ideally you should finish this off with some brown wrapping paper, but as long as the box is sealed you should be OK.

And paperwork?
That's our end of things. The courier will arrive with all the paper work needed to ensure your Mac gets to us. You will get a copy of the collection paperwork to keep as your record.
