500MHz CPU on removable daughtercard for 400/500 MHz Powerbook G3 (Pismo) models. The Pismo model is easily recognised by its bronze coloured keyboard and the presence of a single firewire400 port on the rear of the machine.
This CPU is not compatible with other models of Powerbook G3.
The CPU is housed on an removable daughtercard and connects directly to the logic board. This part will either replace a faulty 500 MHz cpu or offer an upgrade for a 400 MHz machine and offers a substantial 20% speed boost for 400 MHz machines.
